安克雷奇感受到了4.6级的地震。根据美国地质调查局地球物理学家约翰贝利尼的说法,自周五地震发生以来,这是第13次,震级为4.5级以上。

自第一次地震以来发生了2100多次余震,其中包括5.7分钟的震动。贝利尼说,绝大多数的余震都太小了。

周五的地震破坏了道路和建筑物,破坏了道路和高速公路斜坡。但是没有报道任何灾难性的损害,伤害或死亡。

周二,阿拉斯加铁路货运列车在安克雷奇和费尔班克斯之间恢复运行,修复了地震破坏,导致列车无法进行长途跋涉。这次旅行单程350英里(563公里)。

有关官员表示,客运列车将于周四恢复服务,其中包括一条标志性列车运行,该列车运行到费尔班克斯,然后是铁路常规冬季运行周六的恢复。

安克雷奇的学校已经关闭,直到12月10日。学区发言人摩根·杜克洛斯说,安德里奇郊区鹰河一所被认为不安全的小学将在学年剩余时间内关闭。

美国红十字会周二表示,它已在安克雷奇和北部的四个紧急避难所中提供了182次过夜住宿。

发言人Cari Dighton说,其中三个避难所已经关闭。她说,安克雷奇的一个避难所仍然开放,周一晚上为65人提供晚餐,并为44人提供过夜避难所。
